Our History

In 1989, Emma-Janes was born when the founders started out with a couple of traditional family recipes and a desire to improve the quality of the food choices kiwis make every day. The success has grown from the original Shepherd’s Pie to over 20 different family favourites, and we’ve never stopped innovating since.

Still 100% family owned, all our products are all developed, tested and perfected here in our central NZ test kitchen. It is our mission to bring quality, nutritious and hearty family recipes and good flavours to the table while ensuring value for household shoppers.

For many New Zealanders, the opportunity to share good food with friends and family has long been one of life’s greatest pleasures.
